The Columbia river and its tributaries have the largest runs of Salmon and Steelhead in the lower 48 states.River fishing for Salmon in our boats is a great experience. If you own your own boat and just want to learn some tricks and spots to fish, I will show them to you. If you're just looking for a great day on the water, I can provide that as well. We use many techniques to help you catch these hard fighting fish.
The spring Chinook Salmon is a great tasting fish. In fact it is the best tasting Salmon around. They enter our rivers in peak numbers from March through June. Spring Chinook Salmon range in size from 10 to 30 pounds. We start out fishing for them on the Columbia and Willamette rivers in March and April, and move into the tributaries like the Sandy and Clackamas rivers in May and June. Whether we are fishing for Spring Chinook Salmon on the big rivers like the Columbia, or the small tributaries like the Sandy, there is a time and a way to fish spring Chinook Salmon for everyone.

This Fall Chinook was taken while fishing for summer Steelhead on the Columbia river. To say this client was excited when this fish doubled over his rod is a real understatement. They don't make fish like this in Montana.
We fish Summer Chinook Salmon on the Columbia river in June, July and August. Sitting in the boat enjoying family and friends, the sun shining down and the beautiful views of the historic Columbia river gorge is enough to make you forget everything in life. That is until your reel starts screaming with a great Salmon dinner on your hook.

The fall Silver and Chinook Salmon runs starts early August and run through November. Fishing spinners, back trolling plugs, and bobber fishing are some of the tools we use to catch these fine fish. Fall Chinook Salmon range from 15 to 50+ pounds and the silvers (Coho) will range from 5 to 25 pounds.
In September and October you will find us in the calm water of the Columbia river below Bonneville dam just out side of Portland. The fall Chinook Salmon fishery in our boat below Bonneville Dam the second half of September is enough to make fisherman in Oregon and Alaska say WOW. In 7 days of September 2005 we hooked almost 200 fish and landed 147 Chinook Salmon. In 2006 we landed 122 chinook salmon in 7 days. This in only 7 days. Wow is right. 20 to 30 chinook a day is crazy fun. This fishery is our pride and joy. Not many other times of the year can you catch the number of fish we do per day as we do during the fall Chinook Salmon fishery in September and October. This season fills up fast, so make your reservations as soon as you can if you want in on the Alaska style action this fishery offers with an Oregon price.
November through mid December you will find us fishing for Fall Chinook Salmon in the rivers and tide waters of Tillamook Bay. Bobber fishing for Salmon is a rush for young and old. To see your bobber go down, knowing when you come back with your hook set there will be a huge, angry, hard-fighting Chinook Salmon on the other end of the line is enough to keep you on your toes.
